Our Story
Dr. Liz Saxton-Williams
Optometrist
Dr. Liz Saxton-Williams has opened her own private practice, after being a leading optometrist in North Center since 2008. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Iowa State University and her Doctorate from the Illinois College of Optometry.
Her interest in Optometry began in High School, and through both her education and work experience she has developed a compassion for giving back to others. During her externship rotations, Dr. Liz received honors through the VA Hospital in Hampton Virginia, and a private ophthalmology practice in Des Moines Iowa where her focus was in ocular disease and emergency care. She was also on Deans List for her rotations in pediatrics, primary care and specialty contact lens fitting at the Illinois Eye Institute in Chicago.
At Second City Eye Care, Dr. Liz focuses not only on primary vision care but also pediatrics, ocular disease treatment, and emergency care. Her expertise extends to the treatment of binocular vision disorders, fitting specialty contact lenses, and co managing LASIK eye surgery.
Dr. Liz is an Illinois native who loves living in the city. She enjoys music, theater, art, travel, and rooting for the Chicago Bears and Cubs.
